Living the change we want to see in our community
Much more than bricks and mortar.
Co-operative members – creators not consumers.

WELCOME

Galway Co-operative Housing Development Society Ltd. (GCHDS) also referred to as Galway Co-op Housing was formed in 1993. This was on the basis of original members' very personal experience and awareness of housing needs in Galway.

Many people, maybe you, are still experiencing housing need in Galway and are looking to find ways to address this need. In Galway Co-operative Housing we understand the importance of housing and are clear about our vision.

We see Housing as a basic human right. Market forces sometimes deny people with limited resources the opportunity to avail of affordable, good quality housing with security of tenure. Such housing, we believe, is critical to each person's ability to benefit from, participate in and contribute fully to society and their community.
